Good afternoon, everyone!
We hope you're doing well. The tournament schedule is attached below.
Rule for Summer Madness Tournament
Pool Play Format
A maximum of 2 sets will be played per match.
Each set will be capped at 27 points.
In the event of a 1–1 tie, the winner of the match will be determined by point differential.
Playoff Format
A maximum of 3 sets will be played per match.
Playoff games will not be capped (we have decided to uncap the sets)
Therefore, teams must win by 2 (i.e, 28-26)
Officiating & Scorekeeping
On the schedule, games marked with "Ref" indicate the team responsible for officiating and scorekeeping that match.
Each designated team should choose one person to either referee or keep score.
Score Sheets: At each court, you'll find a table with score cards and pencils. After your assigned match, please record:
The game you officiated (use the schedule at the table if needed).
The winning team.
The score of each set (e.g., 25–23, 25–21).
Volleyballs
If you have a volleyball, please bring it with you. As we're just getting started, we're still building up our equipment inventory. The two teams playing each match can decide together which ball they'd like to use.
